Hello! My name is Mr. Doo, and I am entering my 6th year of teaching and my 3rd year at Smyrna. In the past few years, Smyrna has participated in Regional Choral Festivals where we have received Superior and Excellent ratings. Students have also been selected for Freshman Honor Choir, Mid-State Honor Choir, All-State Honor Choir, and Governor's School for the Arts. I also work closely with Mrs. Quinn and the theatre department to put on musicals. Most recently, we have performed Matilda and Footloose. 

 

Originally, I am from Memphis, TN. I graduated from Munford High School in 2012 where I was involved in choir, theatre, track, Spanish and National Honor Society, and FFA. I moved to Middle Tennessee to attend MTSU in the Fall of 2012. I graduated with a Bachelor's Degree from MTSU with concentrations in Music Education and Vocal Performance and a minor in Spanish in 2017. While at MTSU, I was involved in several musicals and operas including Les Misérables, Jesus Christ Superstar, The Tenderland, The Merry Widow, and The Magic Flute. In my free time, I like to hang out with my cat (Minnie), read lots of books, play basketball, and watch movies!
