Welcome to my Chemistry Class 2.0. 2020 will start off as a blended community of distance and in person learners. This video will give you a brief introduction to me (your teacher) and what we will expect as we get started.

morning hey dr. Julie Burton and I have recently as well as you all are sincere because you are I wanted to let you know we're time to get to know each other we are going to be both Blended classroom with those distance Learners and in-person runners we will be working together as a group they'll be some interactions between those that are in person those that are distance from even in the car possible that we are going to be distant stars in the future and so I want to get everybody on the same page so like I said my resume will be working together it's also very possible that in the very near future or maybe in the very distant future all our sister maybe distance Learners and so I want to prepare a class so that we can all have the same courses available to Us online that were all using those resources online on a daily basis and that we can access them seamlessly if in fact we are ultimately I will send out an information sheet shortly through one of these platforms and ask you to fill out this form that gives me information about your access to technology at home with your partner or an in-person learner customers will have access to technology in the classroom believe that everybody will have a device in the room but we'll get to that minute all right so what does it mean if we are distance Runner sharing distance learning as a group and means that our resources are online that means that if you have a laptop at home it would be phenomenal for you to bring it in that way you can seamlessly do classwork back and forth work whatever needs to happen if you have a device please bring it phone will not be sufficient so we won't be using our phones if you have your own laptop device possibly iPad but I would suggest laptop if you have one to bring it there won't be any hope and I think that in purse well socially distant the priority is available on a given day print a textbook online where you can get access to that and we're going to look at some of the classroom you'll need to either fill them out electronically and resubmit them or print them out take a picture or fill them in electronically on your computer and send a picture to screenshot something like that and so they were in the classroom I'm going to try to minimize paper as well for those who might have printing issues I'll try to have alternate again this is a really efficient types of please constantly reach out to me Communications and I want to share my screen with you and let me share I want to share the if this is the right location hopefully this is not the right location I'm going to stop this is where technology safety calendar let's see if I can get it through this this is not what you need right now but Princeton I will post something like this on our website this is going to be our syllabus for all intents and purposes both introduction to practices introduction generally to chemistry etcetera will have a chemistry sequence that will be posted and then you'll be able to see that on our class material okay so where am I trying to get to I'm not sure where the pages not to let's see Serena High School I'm sure you all can reach that my face isn't out of the way and you can search for my name my name is dr. pepper. search for that once you find Doctor bird ending in science you can click on my name and here's a picture of me we can send an email to me you can subscribe I will be sending up some things through remind those aren't set up yet like I said I for sure just went to chemistry here is to a Google site that I've used in the past be real quick I'm hoping to update it I'm right now it's just a general chemistry page it down a little couple of little updates here and it has my email address here as well it has some videos that you can look at some of these we will be using some of them we may not be using we need some math review there's some videos of the math topics that are going to be necessary throughout the year there's some really really need chemical reactions and so we can use that website some but probably not a whole lot I will be modifying this webpage with a lot of other resources as we get going this video will be posted on this website hopefully you're already here we will be using Skyward for grades I'm sure you've done that in the past you can log in here you can check with your counselor if you can't have access to Skyward using clever as a storage house for links to different resources were going to use and we're going to be using Kim now there is not a link here for kitten but when you go to clever okay and hopefully this will look the way similar I'm in a log and I'm already logged into my computer so that's my active directory I'm going to log into the active directory if you haven't you have to ask for your email to login to clever when you get here he may have different pages than me but hopefully what you see at least maybe you have a page that instead of saying District paycheck or something like that or classes in your classes hopefully if they're not up there already with these resources link I'm hoping they link up the same way Kim is this k great camel used for some online testing properly tablet is some interaction interactive conversation taipei's that we may or may not use them not sure yet there is access through McGraw to your textbook we made you something from zoo and maybe some other quizzes and if you don't I don't know if you have and as your own or whether it's strictly linked linked to what ion but we will work through that together out I'll get some information on that or you but important clever sign up through your address yes or no high and Kim okay and then Microsoft Office you'll definitely need to have access to word Harley power points at several other types of email my email address please do communicate with me as much as possible forms many different facets of Microsoft all right so what I'm going to tell you is basically check on my web page figure out access to Kim I think it should be an email address I'd love to hear from you please feel free to reach out to me at any point in time and welcome to the
