Student Council Requirements
Members are expected to:
- Attend all Student Council meetings. Meetings are usually held the first Wednesday of each month. For student convenience, there are morning (7:50) and afternoon (3:40) meetings.
- Complete a minimum of 20 community service hours. While there will be community service opportunities available through Student Council, members are encouraged to find individual service opportunities.
- Make a donation to Smyrna Angels. This is a program that designed to benefit disadvantaged seniors in our school during the holidays.
- Attend at least three sporting events. (Only one football game can fulfill this requirement.)
- Attend at least one non-sporting after school activity. (e.g. band concert, play, talent show, etc.)
- Participate in at least two Student Council sponsored activities.
Class officers must complete an additional five community service hours, attend two additional sporting events (one additional football game counts towards this requirement), and one additional non-sporting event.
*In-School sporting events or performances do not count towards these requirements.
