Rutherford County Schools
The MTSU School of Concrete and Construction Management hosted students from Oakland, Rockvale and Smyrna and Cannon County high schools in a construction skills competition. The competition allowed students to showcase their knowledge and skills in electricity, conduit bending, concrete mixing, plumbing and truss building.
Roscoe Brown, S&W Contracting, Sadler Engineering and Watson Metals sponsored the events and judged the results.
The results of the competition are as follows:
Electrical:
1st Place Smyrna, Alain Villafuerte
2nd Place Smyrna , Randall Blanck
3rd Place Smyrna, Larry Andrews
Conduit Bending:
1st Place Smyrna, Luis Ayala
2nd Place Smyrna , Gabriel Sutherland
3rd Place Smyrna, Jackson Stanulis
Plumbing:
1st Place Smyrna, Jose Gomez
2nd Place Smyrna , Landon Campbell
3rd Place Smyrna, Manuel Rodriguez
Truss Building:
1st place Oakland, Tristan Garbison
2nd Place Smyrna, Zoe Majano
3rd Place Smyrna, Daniel Rivas
