Welcome to the Bulldog Battalion Army JROTC

Hello Students and Parents!!!

I am MAJ James Jones, the new Senior Army Instructor for Smyrna High School’s JROTC program. I will be the primary instructor for the Learning and Education Training 1-4 (LET 1-4). I am SUPER EXCITED to start a new year at this great school! With the retirement of CSM Nelson, please welcome First Sergeant (1SG) Jay Farmer. Together, we strive to uphold the JROTC mission  “TO MOTIVATE YOUNG PEOPLE TO BE BETTER CITIZENS". We hold ourselves to high professional standards. Likewise, we will hold the Cadets to a HIGH STANDARD OF EXCELLENCE!

JROTC Mission: 

The design of the program is a student-centered learning environment that focuses on the development of cadets to become “Better Citizens” in the following areas:

  1. Personal Growth and Behaviors
  2. Leadership Skills
  3. Decision Making Skills
  4. Health and Physical Fitness
  5. First Aid
  6. Team Building
  7. Service Learning or Community Activities and Engagement
  8. Government and Civics

You can access your Office 365 account by clicking on this link.  The username and password are the same as your computer login at school. If you need help with how to use different features in your account you can to download the Office 365 guide by clicking on this link.

You can find the link to the United States Army Cadet Command JROTC web page below. You can access the JROTC curriculum for each LET level. Within each LET level you will find classes that we teach throughout the school year. Go through your LET level and find the lessons that we have covered or lessons that will be cover during the school year this will help you stay up to date.
